Steering and Executive Groups

The Biodiversity Action Plan Steering Group meets approximately every 3 months to guide the implementation of the Plan. This includes topics such as formulating new BAP’s, identifying potential threat or opportunities for Lancashire’s biodiversity, sharing information and guiding current biodiversity projects.

A smaller sub-set of this group, the Executive Group, meets more frequently, at every 6 weeks. This is to guide the current contract with Natural England and DEFRA, who provide the Biodiversity Manager funding, oversee budgets and make quick decisions.

The membership of both groups reflects the broad interests in the Plan. A list of current members of the Steering Group is listed below, those shown with an asterisks are also in the Executive Group.
