Biological Heritage Verges

A Partnership between Lancashire County Council and the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside is working towards resurveying a number of special road verges identified for high biodiversity during a project in the 90’s. The project will investigate current management to ensure it is appropriate and links between some verges and the county-wide Biological Heritage Site system will be made.

This project is implementing the Urban Road Verges and the Species-rich Neutral Grassland BAP’s
