The Lancashire Environment Forum consists of a range of public and private sector organisations with a role in environmental sustainability. It seeks to act as a strong unified voice for the environment in Lancashire and beyond, aims to be a source of expertise on environmental issues, and to provide the capacity, knowledge and network to deliver on a number of environmentally related programmes. The Lancashire Environment Forum covers the county of Lancashire together with the unitary authorities of Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool. Lancashire County Council provides secretariat for the Forum.
The Lancashire Environment Forum has responsibility for the performance management of the environment indicators in Lancashire's Local Area Agreement (LAA).
